In a monumental event marking a new chapter for the national sporting ecosystem, the South Sudan National Olympic Committee (SSNOC) officially inaugurated its brand-new headquarters. The facility stands as a bold declaration of the nation’s commitment to athletic development and sports infrastructure.

The grand opening ceremony was graced by various dignitaries, including Her Excellency Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior, Vice President for the Gender and Youth Cluster, and Hon. Atong Kuol Manyang, Minister of Youth and Sport, alongside members of the diplomatic corps, international sporting bodies, federation presidents, coaches, and athletes.

Speaking at the inauguration, the SSNOC President, Hon. Chuol Laam, emphasized that the new headquarters represents far more than physical brick and mortar, rather, it is a launchpad for the future of South Sudanese sports on the global stage. He also announced that the new building belongs fundamentally to the athletes and federations. The facility features modern co-working spaces specifically engineered to foster collaboration, innovation, and unity among the various sporting disciplines.

Highlighting the core SSNOC slogan, Build. Serve. Unite., the President issued an open-door policy and a nationwide call to action for development partners, the private sector, and the global South Sudanese diaspora to support the committee in athletic and sporting development.
